Special Education

Students receive specially-designed instruction in all qualifying areas including academic, behavior, and social areas as indicated on their evaluation from both special and general education staff and/or related service therapists. Curriculum is differentiated for each learner by all staff working with the student based on their individual needs.

Students receive specially-designed instruction in academic, behavior, and social areas as indicated on their evaluation from LC staff and/or related service therapists. Classes offered: LC English, LC Math, and Social Skills. Students will have every opportunity to participate in general education as designated by the IEP team.

Students with mild cognitive disabilities receive specially designed instruction in all areas as indicated on their evaluation from both special and general education staff and/or related services. Participation in the general education class will occur as designated in the IEP with accommodations and modifications.

Accommodations, modifications, and differentiation will occur based on individual student needs. Students will have every opportunity to participate in general education as designated by the IEP team.

Students with moderate cognitive disabilities receive specially designed instruction in all areas as indicated on their evaluation from Mid-level staff and/or related services. Students will participate in general education science and social studies with Mid-level staff along with accommodations and modifications. English and Math will be offered by Mid-level teachers as appropriate in a specially designed setting. Students will have every opportunity to participate in general education as designated by the IEP team.

Students with moderate to severe disabilities receive specially designed instruction in all areas as indicated on their evaluations from the FSA staff/classroom and/or related services. Classes offered: English, Math, Social Skills, Prevocational Skills, and Life Skills. Students will have every opportunity to participate in general education as designated by the IEP team.

Students receive specially-designed instruction at home due to medical, physical, emotional, or behavioral needs. Students also qualify if they have an IEP and have been suspended or expelled from school.
