Good morning Skyview!
Good morning Skyview! Happy Thursday to you. Here are your daily announcements for Thursday October 17th:

Fundraiser News
The final fundraiser Turn In day is today. Due to Career Day, all orders were collected in the cafeteria before school. If you still have your fundraiser orders to turn in, please send them to the main office immediately. Prizes will be distributed tomorrow, and the challenge assembly is scheduled for next Friday in the afternoon.

ASB Sticker
If you paid your ASB fee and your school ID card says ID Only, please come to the main office for an ASB sticker. We will confirm you have paid for ASB and then place the sticker on your ID card, so be sure to bring the card with you.

Request for Secondary Student Volunteers
Are you a middle school student who loves working with children?  Do you need community service hours? If so, this opportunity is for you! Six years ago, Canyon Creek Elementary started a tutoring program called “Homework Club” at the Willow Tree Grove Apartments.  They have invited Kindergarten - 5th grade residents to join the Homework Club, and are now inviting middle school students to tutor the elementary school students.  Adult supervision is provided at all times. Meetings take place in the apartment cabana. Tutoring is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. The tutoring opportunities are open now through the end of May. They welcome your involvement but are asking for at least a 5 week commitment. If you are interested in this tutoring opportunity, please come by the main office and pick up a flyer.

Newspaper Club
Newspaper club is meeting today after school in A105! Any questions, ask Ms. Doty.

Thought for the day
And now, it’s time for your Thought for the Day. Today’s thought for the day was submitted by Skyview 6th grader Jack Trapp. It is a quote by Abraham Lincoln. He said, “Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.”
